Voodoo Island (1957) is not one of Boris Karloff’s best – or best known – movies. On the other hand, it’s not his worst, either. Karloff plays a bit of an Amazing Randi type; a guy named Phillip Knight who debunks hoaxes. He’s hired by a businessman who’s planning to build a new resort on an island that is rumoured to be a hotbed of voodoo and other supernatural activities.
